in Biomechanics and Orthopedic Research at Harvard University. Knee surgeon at
the Hospital for Joint Diseases at NYU and Aspen Valley Clinic, specializing in
arthroscopic and reconstructive knee surgery for sports injuries. ISMST instructor
and international leader in regenerative orthopedics, focused on
mechanotransduction and osteoarticular orthobiologic therapies. Full professor at
the School of Medicine at El Bosque University. Former president and board
member of the Colombian Society of Arthroscopy and Sports Traumatology
SOCARTD. Former president and current Scientific Secretary of the International
Society for Medical Shockwave Treatments (ISMST). Former president and board
member of the Hispano American Association of Football Medicine HISPAMEF.
Director of the Fenway Medical Center for Regenerative Orthopedics in Bogotá. A
pioneer of ESWT in Latin America, he was the first physician to apply shockwave
treatments on an orthopedic patient in August 2000 in Bogotá.
